FEATURE
WALKTHROUGH

LIVE MAP &
SPOT COUNTER

The main screen shows a live street map with colored dots on every tracked parking spot. A counter card in the top-right always shows the current available and occupied totals.

  • Green dot = available spot, confirmed open by a recent report
  • Red dot = occupied spot
  • The Last Update timestamp shows when the data was last refreshed

AVAILABLE /
OCCUPIED FILTER

Tapping either badge in the counter card filters the map in real time:

  • 1Tap Available: 26 → map shows only green (open) spots
  • 2Tap Occupied: 18 → map shows only red (taken) spots
  • 3Tap the active badge again to return to the full view

This is especially useful on dense blocks with many dots — filter to green only and you immediately see every open space without the clutter.

QUESTIONS

Open the app and tap Sign Up. Enter your full name, email address, and a password (min 8 characters, must include uppercase, lowercase, and a number). Check the Terms and Privacy Policy box and tap Create Account.
Green dots mark spots that have been reported as available. Red dots mark spots reported as occupied. The counter in the top-right shows the total number of each in your current map view.
Tap the green Available badge to show only open spots on the map — all red dots disappear. Tap the red Occupied badge to show only taken spots. Tap the active badge again to return to the full view with all spots visible.
Tap any dot on the map. A card slides up at the bottom showing the spot status and when it was last checked. Tap Navigate to Spot and MagicSpot hands off to Apple Maps (or your default maps app) with turn-by-turn directions to that exact location.
Tap the blue bell icon in the top-right to set up area alerts. When a spot becomes available in your configured area, MagicSpot sends a push notification to your iPhone immediately. Make sure notifications are enabled for MagicSpot in iPhone Settings.
Tap the circular refresh icon in the top-right (next to the bell). The Last Update timestamp at the top of the map will update to confirm the refresh. You can also pull down on the map to trigger a refresh on some devices.
Tap your account icon in the top-left of the map, then tap My Account. You'll see the option to Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data. You can also email mshelp@magic-spot.com to request deletion.
